En los últimos años el concepto y enfoque de las Soluciones Basadas en la Naturaleza (SBN, en inglés Nature Based Solutions) han tomado una presencia significativa en el entramado urbano y su diseño. Las SBN se entienden como enfoques, acciones o procesos que utilizan los principios de la naturaleza para dar solución a distintos problemas relacionados con la gestión territorial y urbana como la adaptación al cambio climático, la gestión de los recursos, del agua, la seguridad alimentaria.

Desde Naider, venimos trabajando en esta línea con diferentes iniciativas y proyectos de entre los cuales destacamos el estudio que vamos a realizar, junto con el Insititute for Housing and Urban Development Studies, sobre los beneficios económicos de la implantación de SBN en la gestión de las inundaciones en entornos urbanos.

Como parte de esta colaboración hemos realizado un estudio previo sobre agentes relevantes en el impulso de las SBN, informes cuantitativos y cualitativos, herramientas, casos de estudio y proyectos.
