The Recycled Park proposal is an initiative launched by < a title="WHIM architecture" href="http://www.whim.nl/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WHIM architecture in collaboration with municipality of Rotterdam, the Wageningen University, Better Future Factory, HEBO shipping service and SK international . The main objective is to fully recover the waste from the New Meuse River (Nieuwe Maas) before it reaches the North Sea.

The plastic will be recycled in a way that will give a new value to the river by creating floating platforms, giving rise to a new green environment, or what is the same, a floating park. A crowdfunding is being organized to carry out this creative idea that we could take note of to develop equivalent initiatives in our urban ecosystems. The initiative has been awarded in December 2014 with the Water Innovation Prize awarded by the Association of Dutch Water Authorities
