Naider has worked with the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country) on issues related to its green determination (it is not for nothing that it was awarded the European Green Capital award in 2012) and also with the identification and development of opportunities for the advancement of the city towards the knowledge society, such as the generation of new infrastructures or revitalization of collaboration networks between the agents of the system.

Naider‘s relationship with the city became closer after the recognition in 2006 of José Angel Cuerda, who had been mayor of the city for 20 years (1979-1999), to whom the first edition of the “Naider Action and Commitment Award” for its success in turning Vitoria into a city of sustainability, knowledge and coexistence. Since then, there have been many initiatives in which Naider has been involved with the city.
“Vitoria-Gasteiz Environmental Strategy 2009-2020”. In its desire to continue deepening sustainability, the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council drew up a long-term environmental strategy, for which Naider provided technical support.

Gasteiz INNOVA Strategy for the configuration of a city of knowledge. The strategy included different lines of action aimed at improving the competitive positioning of the city’s companies and the city as a whole as a place of attraction for knowledge-intensive economic activity by promoting new emerging economic sectors (Energy and Environment, Biosciences, Sports Industries), support for traditional economic sectors to ensure their presence in the city, the positioning of Vitoria in the international city market or the exploration of economic opportunities with high added value.
