Air quality in the palm of your hand

Air quality has become one of the biggest concerns for the population of large cities, fortunately, thanks to the awareness of society and the commitment of many leaders, we can see how it gradually improves, despite the fact that there are still many steps to take.

As a result of this problem, the Institute of Photonic Sciences in collaboration with the Environmental Epidemiology Research Center (CREAL) is developing a mobile application that will be able to report on the air quality at a specific point instantly. We need to install a small sensor in our smartphone.

Air pollution is a modern problem in today’s cities and has become the focus of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases that could lead to cancer.
