Researchers from the University of the Basque Country have set out to take advantage of the energy coming from the waves, for this they have devised a new technique that will allow us to know in advance the energy of the waves in order to take advantage of its potential as we can find out through the scientific magazine “Ocean Engineering”.
This type of energy has certain types of advantages over other energies, mainly that an optimal wave is much more predictable than a gust of wind, despite the fact that both are not very regular. According to the researchers, thanks to this new technique, it will be possible to make better use of the energy emanating from the waves.
For the study, five buoys have been used that are in charge of measuring the waves.
