China from the heights

It seems that China has outgrown the earth and has set its sights on the sky, the government of the Asian country intends to monopolize the air market through the merger of the three large public companies it owns in the sector; Air china, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. This agreement would give rise to a company of unique dimensions capable of providing service with a fleet of aircraft of around a thousand units.

Despite not having made any official announcement in this regard, this agreement does not take the air sector on a different footing since the country of the rising sun would have previously carried out similar actions in other sectors such as the shipping industry.

The plan’s priority is to compete with the big airlines beyond the Chinese borders, in turn, this project matches the objective of the Chinese national councilors to privatize a significant number of public companies.
