Medellin, August 31. One of those dates that, if actions follow words, we will remember in a more than positive way. The reason lies in the commitment that 39 mayors of world capitals made to make our cities less unequal and, in turn, with a greater capacity to respond to the effects of climate change.
In addition to what has already been mentioned, the mayors agreed to respect human rights, peace and freedom “without excuses”.
The initiative, which takes the name “Cities for life” is led by the mayor’s office of Medellín, a city that in 2013 won the award for the most innovative city in the world.
