London chooses to walk

All roads lead to…London! The British city council has launched a plan to move its inhabitants away from the use of private cars and bring them closer to the sidewalks, as we can discover in the latest article from urban platform.

To do this, the council has a generous budget to fit out as many streets as possible and make them attractive for walks, both for people who go to work and for those who want to do so exclusively for walking.

The council stresses that these practices are favorable both for citizens, who enjoy their city while exercising
, as well as for the city, which sees carbon emissions reduced.

An example that we at naider applaud and would like to see extended to other European capitals.
