The Board of Directors of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) has approved 144 new R+D+i projects with a total budget of 80.57 million euros. The CDTI will contribute 62.11 million euros, thus promoting business R+D+i and stimulating the creation of technology-based companies.
Of the approved projects, 101 correspond to the second call for the EEA-Grants program for environmental and climate change projects, which is co-financed by the European Economic Area; 24 correspond to the Direct Line of Innovation; 18 are individual R&D projects, and 1 belongs to the Global Innovation Line.
147 companies participate in the development of these projects, of which 57% are SMEs and, of these, 33% belong to medium and high technology sectors. Of the total number of companies involved, 49, that is, 34%, receive, for the first time, financing from the CDTI. It is estimated that the sum of these initiatives will mean the generation of 440 direct jobs that will also mobilize 579 indirect jobs.
