Seed of hope

The main Spanish universities have joined the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development with the aim of mobilizing and raising awareness among society, public institutions and the business world in general. The agreement was presented by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Miguel Ángel Moratinos at the University of Cantabria (UC).

The agreement has highlighted the importance of education for future generations and the capital importance that these have in the future of society, giving special importance to “responsible urban planning, the promotion of saving and recycling policies; as well as for placing renewables as benchmarks” in the words of Rosa Eva Díaz Tezanos, vice-rector for Spaces, Services and Sustainability at the University of Cantabria.
