Cities of sustainable transport

The largest capitals in Europe, unfortunately almost all of them in the north, seem to have opted for people in the cities, with this we want to emphasize the importance that cities like Amsterdam, Copenhagen or Hamburg give to sustainable methods of transport over cars .

Cities like Amsterdam have made a great effort to promote the use of bicycles for years, even exceeding the barrier of 880,000 bicycles, according to official city sources, or even reducing the maximum speed of cars.

On the other hand, Helsinki, for example, has opted for designing the city itself in such a way that it invites people to live without a car; creating dense cities so that people do not have to travel very long or facilitating and excessively subsidizing transport vouchers.

Another type of different policies, although also effective, are those used by the city of Zurich, which has legislated the minimum space that it provides to pedestrians.
