At the beginning of June, the European Commission highlighted the contribution of the Basque Country to the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the territorial level in the application of public policies.

This is not the first time that the Commission highlights the work of the Basque Country in its initiatives governments around sustainable development. In 2020 the Commission and the OECD highlighted the trajectory in the Voluntary Follow-up reports (Voluntary Local Review) in which each territory reports progress in relation to the SDGs. The 2020 report includes the active planning instruments during the year and the initiatives carried out. We leave the report here your reading:

I. Euskadi Agenda Basque Country 2030

This time the Commission has published two reports on the activity of the Basque Country in the application of the 2030 Agenda. The first report presents the work carried out in recent years for the development and application of the “Basque Ecosystem of the SDGs”. The second report publishes a panel of regional indicators that facilitate the monitoring of the SDGs in Europe for the particular case of the Basque Country, Navarre and Flanders.
