Cebek, the Bizkaia employers’ association, has presented the results of a field work carried out on 622 companies. The data presented send a positive message and a certain recovery of the economy in Euskal Herria. 30% of the Biscayan companies surveyed have increased their workforce and it is expected that for the second semester 22% of the companies will increase the number of workers. The survey also gives us information on the profiles of the people hired, experience is valued and it is noted that there are barriers for young people to access a job.
The data is good, but seasonality marks the increase in employment, hand in hand with the start of summer and the rebound in the tourism sector in our territory. There is still a lot to do.
