The University of Deusto, the Institute Tecnológico Superior de Monterrey and Bilbao Metropoli-30 organize the 5th Course “Cities of the Future: from strategic planning to urban governance” em>, which will take place from June 11 to 22 in Bilbao with the following objective:
The course is oriented towards the analysis and knowledge of current methodologies in relation to the development of cities, in order to learn about and discuss the design and operation of plans, projects and programs related to metropolitan management from both the experience of Metropolitan Bilbao as well as others of an international nature, which due to their characteristics and importance are worth noting.
This year I have been invited to participate in the closing session with a speech on the future of cities on June 22. Almost nothing. I am still preparing the contents, which will be oriented towards analyzing some trends that influence urban environments, a selective characterization of the different urban realities (highly oriented, due to the characteristics of the course, to the management of public policies) and a third part of practices and emerging scenarios. Under construction for now, but I will share here the document that I will use and a more detailed development.
