In advance of International Women’s Day, the Global Platform for the Right to the City (GPR2C) has shared the Manifesto for the Right of Women to the City. Result of the collective work of the Networks and Grassroots Organizations of the Huairou Commission, the manifesto includes aspects such as the equality of women and girls in the exercise and realization of their citizen rights; full political, social, cultural, economic and public participation; the city free of violence; economic autonomy; recognition and redistribution of care work; or the active voice of women in the design process of the urban space.
