This week NAIDER had the pleasure of attending the 10th European Conference on Sustainable Cities and Towns organised by ICLEI Europe in the Danish city of Aalborg. Our colleagues Juan Iglesias and Sara Soloaga attended to represent the European SCORE project, of which we are partners and co-leaders in the implementation of the Coastal City Living Labs. We had our own stand, where we also provided information on nature-based solutions, cost-benefit analysis or visualisation platforms for climate variables, among others.

From the outset, the conference was articulated around three key themes: shared governance, integrated finance and cohesive transition, all of which are concepts aligned with SCORE’s and NAIDER’s lines of work. Over the three days of the event, we had the opportunity to discuss these themes with experts and key players from around Europe, as well as participate in plenary sessions and knowledge-sharing activities. On the last day we had the opportunity to visit the green and circular industrial park Green Lab Netværk Danmark and learn more about industrial symbiosis in the field of renewable energy.

It was a pleasure to participate in this event and to share experiences and projects that help to advance climate action in the cities and territories represented. Tüsen tak!
