Congratulations Gasteiz! The project ‘Ensanche Eco-Distrito Emprendedor’ for the reactivation of the center of Vitoria-Gasteiz, which has the technical support of NAIDER, has received the maximum grant (400,000 €) in the call of the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 for the promotion of the Agenda 2030 in Local Entities.
The project presented by the city council of Vitoria-Gasteiz was one of the 35 selected (out of a total of 625), and one of the 3 that have been supported with the maximum amount.
The main purpose of the project is to recover the central position of the Ensanche of the city by articulating its regeneration around the revitalization of business and entrepreneurial activities, the reinforcement of its positioning as a scenario to activate and attract qualified talent, and the promotion of the comprehensive urban rehabilitation of the center in terms of sustainability, with an eye on the configuration of an eco-district of positive energy.
The project has been highlighted by the support received from 27 local entities, citizen associations, specialized companies and other active agents in the city such as the UPV/EHU or the Alava delegation of the Official Basque-Navarre Association of Architects, among others.
