In collaboration with EGAZ, the development agency of the region of Txorierri in Biscay, a meeting with businesses was held today in Zamudio, with the participation of around twenty companies.
The meeting was chaired by our colleague Pau Muñoz, who led an interactive session with the participants. The session provided an insight into some of the main concerns of the business sector. The difficulties in attracting talent, the challenge of innovation, the improvement of infrastructure and equipment are issues that emerged and were shared by the business representatives. But there are many other issues that have been raised in the discussion, from issues related to internationalisation, inter-company cooperation, generational change or multi-level governance as a central element to continue building the region among all the people and agents that make it up.
With all these contributions, together with the reflections derived from the diagnostic process carried out, we now have the challenge of shaping them, channelling them and articulating a roadmap that will help the region to build a relevant and sustainable future.
The event was chaired by the Mayor of Zamudio, representing all the municipalities. We would like to thank both Egaz and the Provincial Council for organising the event. Above all, we would like to acknowledge the efforts of all those who took part, who gave up their valuable time to work for the common good and to demonstrate their shared commitment to the region in which they work.
