Yesterday, 31 January, we presented the results of the evaluation of the annual agreements for the promotion of Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption in Vitoria-Gasteiz that we have developed in NAIDER over the last few months. These agreements have been carried out over the last four years (2020-2023) between the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz and the Zentzuz Network, the Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption network of Vitoria-Gasteiz, made up of the NGDOs medicusmundi Araba, SETEM Hego Haizea and Bide Bidean.

Both the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council and the NGDOs that make up the Zentzuz Network have been working for years to promote Fair Trade and responsible consumption in Vitoria-Gasteiz through various projects and activities. Since 2020, these projects are framed in annual agreements, through which actions such as the World Fair Trade Day, awareness-raising workshops on Fair Trade, care, responsible consumption and food sovereignty, the Factory of Values, and activities to promote small local businesses are carried out.

NAIDER has had the opportunity to carry out the evaluation of the agreements of the last 4 years. This evaluation, in addition to analysing the results and impacts generated in Vitoria-Gasteiz by the activities of the agreements, establishes a series of recommendations aimed at continuing to work on the promotion of Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption.

The evaluation report will soon be available on the website of the Development Cooperation Service of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council.
