The business world cannot, and should not, stay\naside from this phenomenon. Companies have reasons not to be left behind\nand start moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For responsibility\nsocial, <\/strong>companies, as social agents that are also\nmust contribute with their businesses and activities to the improvement of society and\nenviroment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By profitability\neconomy<\/strong>, those businesses that do not make the transition their own\nwill be out of the market in the next decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those companies that\nThey have not been able, or have not been able to adapt to the market, they have been left out. Today\nthe market tells us that the environment cannot be left out of the\nproduction and commercial processes. The environment happens to become a\nkey element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demand for products\nand green services are continuously increasing in the European market, as well as in\nthe Basque. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>49% of Basque industrial companies estimate [in 2011] that in the next three years they will increase the demands of environmental requirements by Your clients. <\/em>(Source: Industrial Ecobarometer 2011. Department of the Environment of the Basque Government).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The legislation to all\nadministrative scales, from the European to the local level, is\ndemanding greater protection of the environment. The public standards of\nrecruitment are even going beyond such legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>21.5% of the\ncompanies consulted by Confebask have made improvements in the efficiency of\ntheir resources motivated by the legislation, regulations or standards in force.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every time they are sued\nmore guarantees that the activity and products that the private company offers\npublic administration are not harmful to the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>62% of entrepreneurs stated that sustainable investments were motivated by consumer expectations of green products. <\/em>(Source: European Commission, Accenture, 2012)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several ways\nto prove to the administration and to the consumers that the services and\nproducts offered meet environmental standards. Many of them pass or\neither by eco-labelling or by environmental management systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eco-labelling:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding <strong>eco-labelling\n<\/strong>This is presented as the best way to combat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbva.es\/finanzas-vistazo\/sostenibilidad\/greenwashing-practicas-sostenibles-de-forma-ganosa.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> greenwashing<\/a>\nas well as other practices. It also allows the company and its products,\nposition on environmental issues. However, the presence of up to 400\ndifferent labels globally generates confusion both between companies\nas between the consumers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this situation,\nThe companies have to know which are the useful labels in the\nmarkets in which they move. Type I eco-labelling (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adaptasg.com\/types-of-eco-labels\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">see types of\neco-labeled<\/a>) is the most common in the Basque market. among all of them\nin Euskadi the eco-label par excellence is the European flower or eco-label\nEuropean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The eco-labelling of the\nEuropean Union is one of the most recognized labels within the union and with\nincipient incidence in the rest of the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euskadi.eus\/web01-a2inguru\/es\/contenidos\/informacion\/ecoetiqueta\/es_etiqueta\/index.shtml\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Government\nVasco <\/a>is betting on this eco-label for its standardization\ninternational and social recognition. 65% of those interviewed by the\nEuropean Ecological Barometer has confidence in the European eco-labelling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European ecolabel\nexists since 1992 and recognizes those products and services (except the\nfood, beverages and pharmaceuticals sector) that throughout its entire life cycle\nlife (extraction, manufacture, distribution, use and disposal) generate less\nimpact on the environment. That is, it highlights those products\/services that\nThey are more respectful than others of the same category. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Basque Country there are 18\ncompanies that have a European eco-label in up to a total of 115\nproducts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/naider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/1.-eco-labeling.jpg\" alt=\"\" class =\"wp-image-17210\"\/><figcaption> Figure 1. Among Basque products, cleaning items, furniture, DIY and stationery are most relevant. It also certifies the service sector, although its use is less widespread. Companies in the service sector tend to certify the entire entity through environmental management systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/naider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/2-distribution.jpg\" alt=\"\" class= \"wp-image-17209\"\/><figcaption> Figure 2. February 2020 <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Environmental Management Systems: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the\nEU Eco-labelling EMS are other voluntary regulations that support\nproducers and organizations that go beyond what is required by the\nlegislation in their efforts to protect the environment and the quality of\nlife. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among them stands out the\nEuropean system EMAS, SGMA for which the Basque Government is committed, due to its\ninternational recognition and for being the system that certifies a commitment\nstrictest of companies with the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/naider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/3.-sedes.jpg\" alt=\"\" class =\"wp-image-17208\"\/><figcaption> Figure 3. Source: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa. eu\/environment\/ecolabel\/documents\/SWD_fitness_check.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow\">Report on the voluntary participation of organizations in a community eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS) on the EU Ecolabel<\/a>, European Commission<\/ em>. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From large corporations to small companies, the EMAS collects and evaluates all areas of the company in environmental matters, be it consumption, emissions or the means of transport used by the workforce, among other things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The assessment is\ncyclical, this allows a progressive evolution to correct practices less\nenvironment friendly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/naider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/4.-entities.jpg\" alt=\"\" class =\"wp-image-17207\"\/><figcaption> Figure 4. IHOBE. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Having an EMAS allows us not to forget or set aside the ecological transition. Having this EMS is not limited to having a particularly sustainable product or services. It consists of continuously improving the activity of the company and its relationship with the environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Basque Country there are 120\ncenters and 29 public entities that have this management system\nenvironment, as well as another 68 private centers and 55 entities. annually on\nThe Basque Government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euskadi.eus\/servicios\/1026505\/web01-tramite\/es\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">subsidizes <\/a>the\nverification and successive renewals of Environmental Management Systems\nEMAS. Opting for this distinction, beyond environmental improvement, allows\nreposition the company before its customers, both unavoidable tasks in these\ntimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/naider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/5.-procedure.jpg\" alt=\"\" class =\"wp-image-17206\"\/><figcaption> Figure 5.
