The huge amount of plastic in the ocean, global warming, the melting of the polar caps, poverty, or the lack of food in some regions are such overwhelming problems that they can lead to inaction \u2013 or lack of action \u2013 among the population. Where to start? What can we do?<\/p>\n
To help answer these questions, the Dome<\/a> of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/a> \u2013 \u201cSustainable Development Goals (SDG) Dome<\/strong>\u201d, for their acronym in English. It is a virtual reality experience that brings the SDGs closer to the population, whose objective is to show the usefulness of new technologies to better understand the urgency of the SDGs.<\/p>\n The participants of this experience are accommodated in a dome with a 360\u00ba panoramic image of the planet<\/a>. With the mission of creating a sustainable world by 2030, participants are guided through a virtual journey<\/strong> (see video<\/a>) that shows the consequences of our actions on the planet<\/strong>; from the destruction of tropical forests to water pollution, including poverty in developing countries. Participants are also invited to a game where the goal is to figure out different paths to achieve the SDGs<\/strong> as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n This Dome, located in Amsterdam, has been designed to offer visitors an experience that stimulates all the senses, while educating themselves about the major global issues we face.
