According to preliminary data, for a few hours it reached 2 degrees Celsius above &#8216;normal&#8217; in the northern hemisphere, something unprecedented since records exist. This fact is significant; Two degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels are internationally established as the red line that must not be crossed if we want to avoid catastrophic impacts for humanity.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are experiencing a very hot winter affected by the El Ni\u00f1o phenomenon in the Pacific. The record comes just after the warmest February on record.
