Fortunately, thanks to the plans carried out as a result of public awareness, many of them are beginning to be cleaned up and even some that years ago would have been unthinkable to harbor any kind of life are beginning to recover native species, as we are informed from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plataformaurbana.cl\/archive\/2014\/01\/21\/eight-examples-of-what-it-is-possible-to-decontaminate-urban-rivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">plataformahurbana< \/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the world water commission, the 500 largest rivers on the planet face pollution problems, even so, as we have mentioned, cities like Paris and London have managed to reverse the situation, turning these into authentic idyllic places.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a small list of 8 places that have managed to improve the appearance of their rivers:<\/p>\n<p>1. Seine (Paris)<\/p>\n<p>2. Thames (London)<\/p>\n<p>3. Tagus (Lisbon)<\/p>\n<p>4. Cheonggyecheon (Seoul, South Korea)<\/p>\n<p>5. Han (Seoul)<\/p>\n<p>6. Rhine (Europe in general)<\/p>\n<p>7. Cuyahoga (Cleveland)<\/p>\n<p>8.
