Reviewing the project portfolio of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kickstarters<\/a>, one of the best-known platforms with the most content, Innovative projects can be found, in different stages of development, in the field of <strong>recycling<\/strong>, <strong>mobility<\/strong>, <strong>pollution<\/strong> or <strong>spaces urban greens<\/strong>. Let&#8217;s see some examples of these interesting eco-innovative proposals:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reuse and recycling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vending machines are a symbol of consumerism that permeates our way of life: chocolate bars and soft drinks full of calories, sandwiches and synthetic coffees, second-need products, to be used and thrown away and wrapped in one and a thousand layers of packaging&#8230; Without However, from New York comes a proposal to reconvert this symbol of consumerism towards the <strong>promotion of the exchange of objects and recycling<\/strong>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swap-o-matic.com\/ \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Swap-O-Matic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Swap-O-Matic 9-15-2010\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/14993012?h=6c82274912&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>A retro-designed machine that functions as a clearinghouse for objects, an ingenious way to encourage <strong>reuse<\/strong> and <strong>recycling<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mobility: drawing routes by bike <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bikecontrail.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Contrail<\/a> is defined by its promoters as a public art project to make the bicycle a system safer and more fun transportation. Through a small device installed on our bike we can become a kind of <em>rolling brush<\/em> that draws the route we are making on the asphalt.<\/p>\n<p><a tabindex=\"1\" href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/15965326\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">http:\/\/vimeo.com\/15965326<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A beautiful way to <strong>share and claim public space for cycling<\/strong> and promote <strong>sustainable transport in the city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pollution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaborative networking<\/strong> and <em>open hardware<\/em> are aspects common to these two projects. The first of these refers to <strong>air pollution<\/strong>. This is the <a href=\"http:\/\/airqualityegg.wikispaces.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Air Quality Egg<\/a>, a project to improve the <strong>monitoring and control of local air pollution<\/strong>. Through a citizen work network, a system has been developed that measures different pollutants and that can be easily installed in each home. Connected to the internet, the sensor sends the data in real time to a freely accessible website in order to subsequently develop detailed maps or applications that facilitate and improve the monitoring of pollution in cities. After New York and Amsterdam <a href=\"http:\/\/medialab-prado.es\/article\/air_quality_egg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a workshop has just been developed in Madrid (MEDIALAB PRADO)< \/a> for the creation of ten Air Quality Egg prototypes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"#AirQualityEgg : &amp;quot;Making Sense&amp;quot;\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/39775046?h=1080486fb1&amp;dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"720\" height=\"540\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The second project in this area has been conceived for the<strong>decontamination of oil spills<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/a\/opensailing.net\/protei\/\" target=\" _blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Protei<\/a>. It is a nautical sailing robot to act in <a href=\"https:\/\/naider.com\/blog\/iv%C3%A1n-de-torres\/m%C3%A1s-de-60-d%C3% AD-in-the-gulf-of-m%C3%A9xico-a%C3%B1os-in-the-delta-of-n%C3%ADger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disasters like the of the Gulf of Mexico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset videofit\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Back Protei on Kickstarter\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vmZ_uy2Ehi4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>To date, the promoters, from different parts of the world, have developed 5 different scale prototypes, all of them powered by the wind.
