In the context of these challenges and needs, the concept of &#8220;Strategic Autonomy&#8221; is recurrent in EU policies, adding the adjective &#8220;open&#8221; to underline the multilateral cooperation aspiration of the European project: Open Strategic Autonomy or OSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iri.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/concordi-2023\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CONCORDi 2023<\/a>, the European Business R&amp;D&amp;i Forum, was held in Seville on 24-26 October, and <a href=\"https:\/\/publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/repository\/handle\/JRC135258\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Joint Research Centre&#8217;s working paper<\/a> sets out Europe&#8217;s challenges for achieving this autonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu\/repository\/handle\/JRC135258\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"528\" height=\"748\" src=\"https:\/\/naider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Captura-de-pantalla-2023-11-02-a-las-9.09.35.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24932\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Industrial innovation is essential for the development of critical technologies, to promote a circular economy and to reduce strategic and supply chain technology dependencies.
