CLIMATE SHELTERS<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Climate Shelters are safe spaces, both public and private, adapted to provide relief during extreme heat or cold waves. These shelters are equipped and strategically located to serve the community, especially those who are more vulnerable to the effects of extreme weather due to their socio-economic status, health status or age.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Climate Shelter Identification and Analysis<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

  • We guide in the conception, implementation and management of climate shelters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • We define the necessary requirements for a space to be considered as a climate shelter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • We co-design criteria for the consideration of climate shelters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • We produce heat wave temperature and cold wave temperature maps, together with vegetation layers, to identify the most sensitive areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • We quantify the importance and suitability of certain shelters over others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Detailed analysis reports on current shelters and their justification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
