{"id":30473,"date":"2024-10-21T11:00:21","date_gmt":"2024-10-21T09:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/naider.com\/naiderlab\/investigacion-tecnologia-e-innovacion-para-impulsar-la-competitividad-europea\/"},"modified":"2024-11-27T12:13:06","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T11:13:06","slug":"investigacion-tecnologia-e-innovacion-para-impulsar-la-competitividad-europea","status":"publish","type":"naiderlab","link":"https:\/\/naider.com\/en\/naiderlab\/knowledge\/documents\/investigacion-tecnologia-e-innovacion-para-impulsar-la-competitividad-europea\/","title":{"rendered":"Research, Technology and Innovation to boost European Competitiveness"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The expert group set up by the European Commission to advise on the next research and innovation framework programme has <a href=\"https:\/\/op.europa.eu\/en\/publication-detail\/-\/publication\/2f9fc221-86bb-11ef-a67d-01aa75ed71a1\/language-en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recommended <\/a>a major overhaul of the EU&#8217;s funding instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/op.europa.eu\/en\/publication-detail\/-\/publication\/2f9fc221-86bb-11ef-a67d-01aa75ed71a1\/language-en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">report <\/a>calls for the creation of an independent Industrial Competitiveness and Technology Council and a European Societal Challenges Council to guide collaborative research. This would mean that the bulk of the next programme, Framework Programme 10 or FP10, would be managed outside the Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group also calls for the overall R&amp;D and innovation budget to be increased from the current \u20ac93.5 billion to \u20ac220 billion in order to restore Europe&#8217;s competitiveness.
