The project to design a methodology for integrating the energy transition into regional strategic planning for rural areas has officially begun with an initial working meeting between NAIDER’s technical team, the Department of Agriculture<\/a> of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, and representatives of the Rural Development Agencies<\/a> (ADRs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this meeting, the project’s scope, main objectives, and key comparison phases with the ADRs were jointly defined. Based on a participatory approach adapted to the territory’s diverse reality, the process seeks to provide regions with a practical, replicable tool for advancing decarbonisation from an eco-social perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The methodology is structured into four sections: analysis of the regulatory and institutional context of each region; identification of opportunities and projects; development of a common strategic framework; and collective validation. Through this collaborative approach, the groundwork will be laid for the ADRs to spearhead the energy transition in their respective regions in a consistent, rigorous and participatory manner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
