Jokin Etxebarria, Economy and Innovation Coordinator at NAIDER, has today taken part as an invited speaker at the BlueAdapt<\/a> Safe and Healthy Seas Innovation Workshop<\/em>, an online event bringing together researchers, businesses, policymakers and community organisations around innovation for safer seas and more resilient coastal communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the title Building Innovative Territories Around the Blue Economy<\/em>, Jokin presented NAIDER’s approach to coastal territorial development \u2014plan, implement, evaluate\u2014 drawing on the Uribe Kosta Strategic Plan<\/strong> as a case study, a coastal district combining maritime activities and natural assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop brought together researchers and leading organisations in coastal innovation, including the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3)<\/a> \u2014with whom NAIDER collaborates on the One Health Living Lab<\/strong> in Uribe Kosta\u2014, the University of Exeter<\/a>, Bangor University<\/a> and the University of Warsaw<\/a>, alongside European projects such as CLIMOS<\/a>, TRIGGER<\/a> and CATALYSE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
