NAIDER, together with CAMBRIDGE ECONOMETRICS, TECNALIA and ECORYS, is leading a proposal submitted to IHOBE, the Basque Public Society for Environmental Management, for the preparation of an Analysis of the Economic Impact of Climate Change in the Basque Country and the definition of a Financing Plan to Strengthen the Climate Resilience of the territory.

The economic impact analysis, which aims to parameterise in economic terms the value of climate resilience and adaptation in our territory, is a valuable and pioneering exercise that will provide tools for managing the adaptation process. The proposed methodology, which, in addition to considering the costs of inaction, explores and quantifies the benefits of different strategies, has been coordinated by NAIDER and developed in collaboration with three other European leaders in the field.

CAMBRIDGE ECONOMETRICS is a world-class economic analysis company in the field of economic modelling and, in particular, the analysis of the costs of inaction and adaptation. TECNALIA is the main agent of knowledge on climate change in the Basque Country and one of the most competitive technology platforms in Europe. ECORYS, for its part, is one of the longest-standing strategic consulting firms in Europe with interventions in the impact assessment of policies and programmes.
