NASUVINSA, the public housing and urban planning company of the Government of Navarra, counts on the technical assistance from NAIDER to analyse and evaluate the actions developed within the framework of the European Interreg Sudoe BIO4RES project: Forest biomass and fire prevention: an opportunity for rural resilience.

The evaluation of the project will focus on measuring the relevance and performance of the actions carried out, assessing both their effectiveness and efficiency, together with the results obtained. The degree of achievement of the objectives previously defined in the project strategy and in the Interreg Sudoe programme will be analysed. This evaluation process will be continuous throughout the life cycle of the project and will involve the various working groups.

The general objective of the BIO4RES project, led by NASUVINSA through the Lursarea Agency, is to improve the prevention and management of fire risk in the forests of the SUDOE (South West Europe) area, consolidating the viability of prevention plans through the valorisation of the biomass extracted and contributing to the development of forest resilience without compromising their ecosystem, economic and social services. It is being developed by a partnership of five beneficiary entities, including the Centre de Ciència i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya Bioeconomia i Governança (Catalonia), the Union des Communes Forestières du Grand Sud and Estera Innovation (France) and the Comunidade Intermunicipal do Tâmega e Sousa (Portugal), in addition to NASUVINSA.
