Over the next three years, NAIDER will support Bilbao City Council in the development of the Bilbao 2030 Climate Mission, in line with the European Union’s ‘100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030‘ mission, promoted by Horizon Europe.
In 2024 Bilbao presented its Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) and has been implementing its 2050 Strategy for Neutrality, Resilience and Health since 2019. In both initiatives, the city council has been assisted by NAIDER’s team of specialists in sustainability, ecological transition, energy transformation and climate action, assistance that will continue to be active in the coming years.
In February, the City Council signed Bilbao’s accession to the citiES 2030 platform, marking the start of the work that we will develop with the city’s technical team. NAIDER will involve an advisory board of international experts from the academic, technological, financial, business and institutional worlds.
