Over the last few months, we have had the opportunity to work alongside the Municipal Education Service of Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council in monitoring the 2023-2025 programming of the 2023-2030 ‘Vitoria-Gasteiz Educating City’ Education Plan.
The 2023-2030 ‘Vitoria-Gasteiz Educating City’ Education Plan is the main tool for planning the municipal education policy. It also includes the Education Service’s planning, guiding municipal intervention in education and establishing a long-term strategic framework.
The report resulting from the process analyses the first programming of the Plan, corresponding to the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years. It determines the degree of implementation of the 91 actions in the programming. It also identifies strengths and weaknesses in both the implementation of the programming and the Plan’s management model.
The monitoring process was carried out through a mixed methodological approach, which included:
- A quantitative analysis phase, analysing more than 700 indicators.
- A qualitative analysis phase, involving four discussion groups with Education Service staff.
The results obtained are very positive and provide a solid basis for the design of the next programme for the period 2025-2027.
