NAIDER has submitted a proposal to Bilbao City Council to assist the city in the development of the Bilbao 2030 Climate Mission, in line with the European Union’s “100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030” mission, promoted by Horizon Europe.

After the work of the last few years, Bilbao is ready to formally join the club of benchmark cities in climate action. In 2024, it presented its Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP), and since 2019 it has been implementing its 2050 Strategy for Neutrality, Resilience and Health. In both initiatives, the City Council has been supported by NAIDER’s team of specialists in sustainability, environmental transition, energy transition and climate action.

Last February, Bilbao’s accession to the citiES 2030 platform was signed by the city’s plenary assembly, giving the go-ahead for the work to be carried out. In this process, NAIDER proposes to surround itself with an advisory board of international experts from the academic, technological, financial, business and institutional world.
