On February 21st, Ortuella once again demonstrated its commitment to the environment during the Tree Planting Day organised by Plural Anitzak, with the support of the Ortuella Town Council.
Around 30 people gathered at the Parque del Barracón to take part in the initiative. The weather was on our side, creating a pleasant atmosphere and allowing the activity to unfold comfortably and smoothly. Residents of different ages joined in, each contributing to a shared goal.
During the morning, both large and small trees were planted, helping to strengthen and diversify the area’s green spaces. Every tree planted represents an investment in the future: more shade, greater biodiversity and a healthier environment for the community.
Beyond the planting itself, initiatives like this highlight the importance of collaboration between citizens and local institutions in caring for our surroundings. Associations such as Plural Anitzak, together with the Ortuella Town Council, continue to dedicate time and effort to these actions, working towards a greener, more sustainable and welcoming municipality.
Small actions, when carried out together, can make a meaningful difference — and the February 21st planting day is a clear example of that.
