The Bay Awards 2024 were held last night at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and NAIDER was present as part of the local team judging the more than 100 entries received for the first edition of the awards.
The gala, organised by the Bilbao Metropoli 30 Association, showcased successful urban initiatives and projects from different parts of the world that inspire and encourage innovation in other places. Five initiatives were awarded in each of the five categories, as decided by the international jury of experts:
- Partners in Progress Award: Detroit Cultural District, USA
- Urban Pioneers Award: Curitiba Radid-Transit Bus System, Brasil
- SDG Champions Award: Bogota’s commitment with women and caring, Colombia
- Prosperity Catalyst Award: Social employment in South Africa
- Horizon Shaper Award: Friendly neighbourhoods with people with dementia in Singapore
