The Oarsoaldea development agency is promoting its strategic plan for the region for the period 2026–2030.

Historically an industrial engine in Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country, the region that includes Oarsoaldea, Errenteria, Lezo, Oiartzun and Pasaia is in a phase of regeneration. Recognising the value of construction, the region is promoting processes and activating collaboration to achieve its objectives. In recent years, Oarsoaldea has launched various initiatives and set new standards in different areas, and continues to explore new opportunities for transformation in order to meet the challenges posed by the current global context.

Evaluating the previous Strategic Plan was a fundamental milestone in developing this new one. The reviews carried out in Oarsoaldea over the last few years have laid a solid foundation for the next decade.

With the technical assistance of NAIDER, the process of developing the new Strategic Plan will determine the lines of action in the field of socio-economic development. These will guide the county councils and the development agency itself until 2030. At the same time, the project will strengthen the links between regional stakeholders as the governance model is reviewed and appropriate coordination mechanisms are established.
