Urban Klima 2050, a project led by Ihobe and the Basque Government, is the largest climate action project in the Basque Autonomous Community in the coming years, approved by the European Union within the area of Integrated LIFE projects for mitigation and/or adaptation to climate change.

The environmental regeneration, renaturalisation and environmental restitution proposals developed by the project have impacts in terms of wealth generation, territorial development, job creation, business competitiveness, economic activity and social cohesion. It is necessary to analyse and clearly visualise all the impacts of the different actions on an economic and social scale, since one of the challenges of the project itself is to promote the multiplier effect of the impacts generated, in order to encourage the replication and transfer of the solutions used.

To this end, it is as important, or even more important, to give these impacts an economic value as it is to know the environmental benefits of the interventions.

To this end, Naider assists with the elaboration of the socio-economic impact analysis that allows to know the impacts generated directly, indirectly and induced, providing an economic value to the environmental impacts themselves.

Another important derivative of the service consists of providing Ihobe and the rest of the agents involved in the management and implementation of Urban Klima with knowledge on socio-economic impact assessment methodologies as well as techniques for the economic valuation of environmental impacts.

In addition, the service will culminate by providing the people responsible with a tool for monitoring and visualising the impacts and results of the project.
