In December 2023, the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge published the Environmental Profile of Spain 2022, a report that brings together more than 100 indicators to analyse various variables such as the quality of air, soil and water; the state of the coasts and the marine and terrestrial environment; and the health of forests and protected ecosystems. This edition includes for the first time indicators on green employment, spending on environmental protection or environmental taxes, among others.
