Today saw the inauguration of the Technical Office of the ENSANCHE ECO-DISTRITO EMPRENDEDOR Project for the revitalisation of the centre district of Vitoria-Gasteiz. The office, which will be open to the public every working day at 38B Calle Dato, will be a meeting point where citizens can find out about the progress of the project and get involved by sending in their ideas, suggestions and concerns.
The inauguration was attended by Borja Rodríguez, Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council Councillor, Mar Dabán, Spanish Government Subdelegate, and Ignacio Cepeda, Director of Ensanche 21 Zabalgunea, the municipal urban development company that created the Neighbourhood Service Office. NAIDER is working with Ensanche 21 Zabalgunea to manage the office as a support centre for the community.
Among other things, the office will be a channel for identifying opportunities and possibilities for the revitalisation process of the interior blocks of the Ensanche. Together with Paisaje Transversal, NAIDER is involved in the preparation of the preliminary studies for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Teatro Principal block, a project that will serve as a pilot for the rest of the blocks.
