ADVANCED CICLO Working Session

Today, we held an interesting working session as part of the ADVANCED CICLO project, attended by the five companies we have advised on the circular economy over the past few months. The project is funded by the Basque Government-Ihobe through the Pyme Circular programme, with ASLE participating as an intermediary, alongside five of its associated companies: Izar Cutting Tools, Tornillería Deba, Heroslam, New Fepa and Tipeberri.

Using our ADVANCED CICLO methodology, we have worked with these companies to integrate circular economy concepts into their business models and strategies. We have carried out a circularity diagnosis to determine their level of maturity in terms of planning, collaboration, eco-design, energy and material consumption, recycling, and so on. We have then provided them with a practical roadmap to help them take advantage of the opportunities offered by the circular economy approach. A common element of our work with all of these companies has been the calculation and analysis of their carbon footprint, completing scope 1 and 2, and taking the first steps towards scope 3.

Calculating the carbon footprint and working on other areas makes it easier for companies to respond quickly and effectively to new customer requirements and market trends, establishing the circular economy as a key factor in increasing their competitiveness.
