The public agency Ihobe has promoted the creation of a digital interactive visualisation system to transform the traditional Basque Country Environmental Outlook 2024 report into an accessible, dynamic and high-impact resource. The aim is to make environmental information more approachable for technical staff, policymakers and citizens alike, strengthening transparency and accountability in Basque environmental policy.
The new panel, developed in Power BI, integrates data and strategic indicators on areas such as climate change, air and water quality, soils, biodiversity, circular economy, waste, and the relationship between economy and environment. Through interactive filters, thematic maps, time comparisons and dynamic dashboards, the tool allows users to intuitively and visually explore the main environmental trends.
Naider has supported Ihobe in all phases of the project: from data analysis and structuring, to conceptual and graphic design, technical development and final validation. The result is a living, easily updatable and improvement-oriented tool that turns the Environmental Outlook into a benchmark observatory for monitoring the ecological challenges of the Basque Country.
