Today, we had the opportunity to accompany the Bilbao City Council as they signed and presented the Climate Agreement that underpins the Bilbao 2030 Climate Mission. The Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Mobility and Sustainability, Nora Abete García, carried out the signing as part of the fourth edition of the citiES 2030 UIMP Summer Course in Santander.

At NAIDER, we are committed to this Climate Mission, which forms part of the EU’s objectives to promote smart, climate-neutral cities. The Mission has three main pillars: promoting renewable energies, rehabilitating buildings to be more energy efficient, and electrifying mobility. All of these factors take into account climate adaptation, a just transition, and the carbon embedded in the built environment.

During the conference, we also presented some of our work in the ‘EuroMission 2025’ session. In our presentation, we explained how we are automating and digitising Bilbao’s environmental strategy. We emphasised that Green Infrastructure is becoming a vital tool for achieving environmental health, climate change adaptation, and carbon neutrality objectives, thereby contributing to the success of the Bilbao 2030 Climate Mission.
