The European Interreg SIreNERGY (Social Innovation in Renewable Energies) project, in which the Basque Energy Agency (EVE) participates, aims to develop initiatives that contribute to improving the social acceptance of renewable energy projects through citizen participation and the socialisation of the corresponding initiatives, among others.
This project includes the study “Socio-political diagnosis of the territory”, focused on identifying and analysing the external factors that influence the present and future development of renewable energy projects in rural areas of the Basque Country. The EVE has had the collaboration of NAIDER for the review and development of the diagnosis.
The study is the preliminary phase of a regional diagnosis to identify areas for improvement in the deployment of renewable energy strategies in rural areas.
