The Provincial Institute of Social Assistance of Bizkaia (IFAS) has launched the drafting of its Specific Energy Action Plan, with the aim of complying with the Basque Country’s Energy Sustainability Law 4/2019 and moving forward in its transition towards a more efficient and low-carbon energy model.
The process builds on the Energy Diagnosis of the Provincial Sector carried out in 2023, which included IFAS alongside other entities of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. Based on that work, the new plan will define concrete lines of action, savings targets and measures to meet the reduction commitments set for 2030 and 2050.
Naider is providing specialised technical assistance in this phase, ensuring that the plan not only responds to regulatory requirements but also becomes an operational and realistic roadmap to advance the organisation’s energy sustainability.
Through this initiative, IFAS positions itself as a benchmark in the application of efficiency and sustainability criteria in the field of social services, contributing to the territory’s energy objectives and reinforcing Bizkaia’s ecological transition.
