NAIDER took part in the New European Bauhaus partners meeting in Bizkaia, framed within the NEB Festival 2026 —running across Europe from 9 to 13 June— and organised by the community of NEB entities in the territory to reflect on the role of culture, creativity, design and innovation in urban and territorial transformation.
The event, driven by Bilbao Metropoli 30 and facilitated by Idoia Postigo and Carlos Alonso, opened with an introductory presentation before moving into a roundtable discussion featuring Itziar Vidorreta (GAIA), Sonia Prieto (eCivis), Romina Sostegno (EDE Fundazioa) and Ricardo Ruiz (IED Kunsthal), alongside Haizea Aguirre, Urban Regeneration and Circular Economy Coordinator at NAIDER.
The discussion highlighted the importance of spaces where disciplines, sectors and perspectives converge as drivers of innovation and territorial transformation, and the need to develop collective capacity to imagine desirable futures rather than merely responding to uncertainty. It also underscored the role that cultural and creative industries can play in building more sustainable and inclusive territories.
