The provincial public company Azpiegiturak, S.A.M.P., responsible for managing the infrastructures of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, has launched the drafting of its Specific Energy Action Plan 2025–2030, with a long-term vision to 2050. The plan is part of compliance with the Basque Country’s Energy Sustainability Law 4/2019 and the provincial commitments to reduce energy consumption by 35% and to achieve 32% self-supply from renewable sources by 2030.

The process includes a comprehensive inventory of buildings, facilities and energy consumption, together with an energy diagnosis to establish a baseline. Based on this analysis, an action plan will be designed, defining concrete measures tailored to Azpiegiturak’s operational context, with a 2035 horizon and a strategic vision to 2050.

Naider provides specialised technical support for the development of the plan, ensuring the involvement of all relevant stakeholders and aligning the proposed measures both with regulatory objectives and with the improvement of efficiency and sustainability in public management.

Through this project, Azpiegiturak takes a decisive step in its energy transition, contributing to more efficient provincial management and aligning itself with the Basque Country’s climate goals.
